Out of all the hole in the wall little Thai places. This one takes the cake! It's a small family business. Really polite friendly people. The Panang curry is better here than any of the other joints in the valley. They have this $10 minimum which sucks. But they really do enjoy repeat business. They gave me a extra large Thai ice tea that would have made my bill $15 but just made it $10. I recommend it

I have a fave Thai spot in Porter Ranch that I love, but this was closer to where I was at the time, so decided to stop in. First of all, my order that I called in took a long time to get ready. But despite that, the food... eeek. Not good at all. Very little of anything in the dishes (mostly just noodles and rice) and it tastes like fast food, not fresh cooked food. Not doing this again. Sorry. I had hopes with the good reviews. Didn't work out.

I came here on the weekend with a friend. While the food was good the service was a little off. It took a bit too much time to get seated, our table cleaned, the check, waiter said they would bring napkins never got them... At the end when it came time to pay I was told my meal had to be $10.00 minimum to use a credit card. My meal was $9.70 and the waiter charged me an extra 30 cents. I would have put up a fuss because they have no sign stating a minimum but the restaurant itself wasn't a fun experience so I figured I would just never return. Food is decent, this place would probably be better for takeout.

This place is a joke by all means. Just imagine yourself walking into a place as such, have a seat, then right in front of you signs that say this " Pleas leave a tip" then another one that says " You can't take out your leftover lunch special." How about this one " Smile, you are on camera." Holly shit, I have never seen a place with so many signs since I escaped from the Fu**ng Alcatraz prison. Lets get to the food...I came during lunch timeand I ordered the Satay Chicken with fried rice and salad. The rice was cold, and the chicken pieces that was mixed in the rice had smell to it. The salad was just a salad. The Satay Chicken was yellow in color, it was rubbery and tasteless. The owners are running a tight ship here. Cost saving and cost cutting must be their motto but I hope they don't do it on the account of customers. This place just re-opened after remodeling and I was expecting way much better food than this I will just stick to my regular Thai food place next block.

When it comes to Thai food this side of the valley, I pick Tasty Thai. Sometimes they have their off days but overall I enjoy this place. It's small. It's homey. It's like coming to see my grandpa. The old man who runs the place is super nice and straightforward. He always has a smile on his face and makes sure he gets your order right. In the evenings the place fills up fast. I recommend coming early or getting it to go. It's a small place and when it's filled it feels too cramped. There is only Street parking but I never have a problem finding a spot. Food wise I prefer Kinnara on Sherman way but that's further away, on a annoyingly busy section of street, and expensive. Tasty Thai is small. It's next to a sex shop. And I just think that old man is adorable. The place has been around for awhile and I enjoy its hole in the wall charm. I like their Thai iced tea. A large is 4.00 and its huge. Yellow chicken curry is good but nothing to brag about. And beef pad se ew is delicious but sometimes dry. They are closed Mondays and no longer deliver.

This was the second time I ate here. I got takeout but the service is always good and the food is delicious. I got the Orange chicken and the pineapple fried rice. I asked them to use brown rice for the fried rice and they did!!! Last time I got Pad Thai and that's was good too. I also told them no onions because I have an allergy. I didn't tell them I had an allergy just no onions in everything that I ordered and they listened! You wouldn't believe how many restaurants still put onions in my food when I ask them not too. Yummy Thai food!
(5)Jem K.
The address that is mapped on yelp is different from the actual address. service is slow but the servers are friendly. We ordered the following: 1. Pad-Z-ew (meat : combination) 2. Orange chicken 3. Chicken fried rice Pad-z-ew is a bit oily and there were only 2 pieces of shrimp in it. orange chicken is good but a bit sweet. The fried rice is ok. Overall it's simple, home made style and there's nothing special about it. It's a good place to eat if youre in the area but i wouldnt make the drive. Btw, there was a sign that says "no left over food on lunch combos" something like that.:)
(3)Jennifer K.
It's back!!!! Yayyy! Just as great as ever before. I'm a Thai snob and these guys do it right!
(5)Jennifer M.
This is one of those precious "holes in the wall" type of place. Placed at the most random spot, (next to a sex shop and mattress shop), this is one of my favorite Thai food places in the east side of the valley. Note: I'm not going to lie, the food isn't the best I've had, but their soups... OH My GOd their soups are DELICIOUS! best a soups. I recommend the Tom Yum Kai. If you like sour taste. Also the owner Lucky is a sweetest guy ever!!! He really makes this place feel homey, and that is why we keep coming back!!!
(5)Lissa S.
Decided to get some lunch before work so I went to my fave Thai place, Jenny's. I was so disappointed that they were closed today, not too sure why they closed on a Wednesday. I remembered that there is a Thai place around the corner so I bounced over there. It is very small and seems very quaint. Older gentleman approached and took my order, he was very nice and friendly. Food was delivered fairly quick and it was very good. Simple lunch special with Chicken Satay, rice and salad. Chicken was tender and delicious. I was very pleased, I will be going back!
(5)Fidelis S.
Great thai food in the valley for great prices! Came here today for a pick up order I called in but they weren't ready when we arrived. The guy gave us thai iced tea while waiting! Super nice people who really value customer service.
(5)Princess P.
Met a few friends from my foodie group at this spot. Everything we ordered was very tasty and flavorful.
(4)Rae R.
Decided to try this place one random Sunday afternoon with a friend. Delivery would have taken an hour and we were too hungry to wait so we decided risk getting rained on and walk the few blocks there, it isn't very far from the house. I had the Spicy Basil Chicken with brown rice and my friend had the salmon meal. My meal was great. The chicken was sautéed with vegetables. The brown rice normally costs $2.00 extra but the owner was kind of enough to give it to me free for charge as it was my first visit. Had I paid for it I probably would have been a little upset because I wasn't given much rice at all, maybe roughly about one cup of rice, if that. Either way, my food was great. My friend on the other hand wasn't as pleased. His salmon didn't taste like salmon at all. It tasted weird, he said to him it tasted like chicken, to me it tasted more like, random fish. I couldn't even describe it, it sure didn't taste like salmon though, and I know my salmon. I gave them 4 stars because the customer service was phenomenal and my food was great, but their dishes seem to be hit or miss. Will eat here again and more than likely order the same thing, unless I'm feeling risky, at which point I'd probably share another review. Best of luck on the dish you choose!
(3)Brian C.
Just tried Tasty Thai for the first time and I have to say it lives up to its name. The place was very clean, service was not only prompt but very good and the food was really quite tasty. I've lived in this area since for 16 years and I don't know how long they have been here but I have definitely been missing out so I am glad I finally stopped in!
(4)Mikki F.
I love this place. I come here every other Friday. Great Pad see ew and Chicken with cashew nuts. And I can't forget about my Thai tea with boba
(4)Theresa S.
So glad they reopened. Have been coming here forever and was sad when they closed didn't realize the wife Pearl had passed away so sad. Had dinner here with friends recently. Food is always good. I can honestly say ive never had a bad thing here. Not sure what's up with the bad reviews? The place is small but have always gotten a table even on a Friday night. Have had them deliver, but sometimes they don't always have a delivery person so I'll pick it up. Will be back as always!
(4)Lynn E.
ITS BACK!! TRULY FAMILY TRULY LOVE AND TRULY YUMMY Lucky, the owner, honors his wife Pearl (you old timers remember her). Sadly she passed away from cancer way too young for her time (59). Yet the food lives on in it's wonderful tastes we all know and love. (Me? Im a noodle nerd! And love love those generous wontons!) SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS. AND FEEL THAT **THAI LOVE** IN YOUR HEART AND YO BELLY!!
(5)Cheri M.
Fantastic food. Mee krob was yummy straight out of the kitchen. Mr. Lucky was so accommodating and friendly. These prices are way better than any other Thai place I go to in my area. I'll be back next time I'm in the area! P.S. To reviewer AJ A, chicken satay is SUPPOSED to be yellow. I had the beef satay and it was exactly as it should be.
(5)Liz A.
Really big portions for takeout. The chow mein and rice are great. Beef and broccoli and sautéed mixed veggies were delicious. The egg rolls were a lil too squishy for our liking but everything was overall good.
(4)Jennifer M.
The food is delicious and the owner of the restaurant is sweet, personable and tries to form a relationship with the customers. They're also sensitive to dietary restrictions, which is a huge plus for me.
(5)Raquel W.
Real good good real friendly missed this place and glad it's reopened love the food and all the menu is the same can't go wrong with anything you pick. Portions are good and prices are good too..... Clean good healthy food
(5)Mark M.
Yes, the food is good here. I like that they have several "authentic" dishes, including Papaya Salad (green papaya in a lime-sauce). It is refreshing, lime-y, and very healthy. I have had it at many places and they do a very good job here. Another favorite of mine is Larb Pork, a ground pork dish, again with lime juice and other seasonings. I wish they made "sticky rice" there (just as the same suggests, it's a much more glutinous rice which you can use to "pick up" your food), but oh well.
(3)Cheryl L.
Absolutely delicious and best money spent! Highly recommended!
(5)Juan J.
Best Thai food in the valley!! Sometimes there's a long wait but definitely worth the wait. If you're in a hurry you can always call ahead and take it to go. Delicious lunch specials as well.
(5)Dog R.
My mother Marina and I always order lunch from this small but amazing café. We have also had the experience to dine in. The place is always clean and the owner is always present. Very friendly vibe. Really good food. No regrets whatsoever! Come over and give this place a try!
(5)Ces R.
Updated my one star review. Things have improved really since the reopening. Glad to have our Tasty Thai back!
(4)Angelica R.
Giving this a two star because the first star is for the thai chicken coconut soup, the second star is for the fried rice and egg roll they were all very good can't complain. My boyfriend and I will order again for the soup. I found hair on my beef satay I was grossed out and disappointed because I thought it was authentic thai food. The thai tea boba was not bad nor not good, my boyfriend and I love thai food and we can tell the difference between good and bad and this place was okay except they are not hygienic. So be advised when you order and make sure there is nothing in your food.
(2)Tina B.
This place is great. They have the best fried won tons and their service is great. They are good to us at Holy Cross.
(5)Dominique S.
So it's been a while since I have been here. But the reason why I came back was due to amazing memories of the food, but it was only that a memory! We ordered pineapple fried rice- they forgot the pineapple, disaster! I never realized how much the sweet citrus really compliments the food until it's forgotten. The chicken dishes were ehh I could tell their gas stove or cooktop or something back there was either new or was in need of a major clean because the chicken had some sort of chemical taste, seems like it came from the propane or gas. And how can you mess up Thai tea?! Tea+ a little cream...well mine had little to no cream it was dark and not the rich milky flavorful Thai tea I recall. Needless to say we won't be back!
(3)Sean M.
Called 3 times within 10 minutes time frame to place a order for pick up. No answer phone rings and rings and goes to seems like a fax machine. Don't be in business if you don't have a proper phone line, and can't answer customers calls!!! Your yelp reviews shows a lot about your business !!
(2)Bill C.
I didn't know they were back open - I need to go tonight!
(4)Martin M.
They are open again after a remodel. Yeah. The food was just as good as before and excited it opened again. Hint get the Orange Chicken. It's fantastic. Visit the Restraunt it's really the best Thai in the valley.
(4)Joe H.
Great food!!! I guess you get closed down and have to remodel when you hire slave labor and get a bad rating from the dept. of health. Hope they come back soon!!!
(4)Laura G.
I absolutely love this place! It's best as takeout as it's pretty tight for dinning in. Works out well for me since I work nearby. Their food is definitely tasty and the prices are very reasonable. I love that they have some pretty awesome veggie dishes!
(5)Edvin A.
DELICIOUS THAI FOOD!!! I love this place! I have it usually once or twice a week! I order mostly to-go, but a few times I like to come at night and enjoy the coziness of the place. The "Pad Z Ew" is my favorite plate! (Especially the seafood version) When I do stop by, the seafood soup in a must! Oh! And the large to-go Thai Iced Tea is huge! (And delicious!)
(5)Svetlana S.
They only have street parking, which is a little difficult to find since Devonshire is such a busy street and there are so many other businesses around the same area. The actual restaurant is a bit on the small side, but in an effort to be nice since I love the restaurant, I would call it...cozy. I probably wouldn't recommend coming here if you have a big group since your party might take up half the restaurant. Service is good. The old man that owns the restaurant is very nice and helpful. The wife...not so much. They also deliver within a 3 mile radius I believe. My recommendations (excuse the misspellings): 1.)Combination pat ze yu: 4 stars only because they skimp a little on how much they give you, but otherwise very good! 2.)Pad thai: would NOT recommend. It is very dry. 3.)Chicken panang: 5 stars. I recommend getting it with a side of steamed white rice. 4.)Kha nom jeeb: HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Definite five stars for these dumplings. It is served as an appetizer, which explains them only giving you five pieces. A bit on the pricey side as well, but soooo worth it once you dip it in there oh so amazing sauce. 5.)Combination fried rice: 4 stars. Good, but nothing to rave about. 6.)Thai Iced Tea: 5 stars. Very refreshing and perfectly made besides the fact that they give you too much ice, as do most other places. I ordered all of this and only spent $50 while feeding my family of six. Pretty good eh?
(5)Dionne K.
I have tried almost every Thai food place in the Valley and this is one of my favorites! The owner is very friendly and helpful. The pad se ew, egg rolls, and friend rice are amazing! I would recommend you try this restaurant.
(5)Rex B.
I live a block away from two Thai places and this is clearly a winner. It's always easy to order, simple to pick up and tasty every time. Go to Tasty Thai, they're the most friendly people on the block!
(4)Claudia A.
OPEN AGAIN!! . So yummy, everything is always good here, like always .. I'm so happy they're open again.
(5)Jon K.
This is a solid Thai restaurant in the valley-ish area (where the 118 and 405 meet). 3 stars seems like kind of a low rating to give, but this could easily go up to 4 as soon as I find some go-to dishes which I'm sure this place can serve up. Nestled in between a for-lease property and an adult novelty store (yuck), this is a small thai joint that has held its location for about 13 years. The owners are thai and speak with thick accents which is always a good thing ;D. In my experience. Thickness of accent and quality of food are directly proportional. Na'mean? Gary A. and I got the: - Rainbow Fried Rice w/ shrimp $7.95 (GREAT) - BBQ Pork Spare Ribs $8.25 (ehh...not soft enough for my taste but pretty standard) - Massaman Curry w/ beef $6.95 (skipppp) - Pad Z Ew w/ chicken $6.95 (good) - Thai Ice Tea $3.95 for a large w/ "little ice". (lol they know wsup) Nothing really stood out except the rainbow fried rice. It had a really nice oily texture that I like in my Thai fried rice. I can tell I'd really like their spicy fried rice... Overall, very good and I'd definitely go again.
(3)Javer X.
Your quest for Thai food ends here!!!! Service is fantastic! A must for anyone looking for something different. Try their pork spare ribs! If you don't believe me read the other reviews! Stellar! Plus they deliver :)
(5)Omar U.
Okay! So they get two stars because the food was better than ok. But that's all they're getting from me!! "Hello, tasty thai, can I take your order?". Yeah I'd like some chicken pad thai and some tasty thai chicken. "Take out or delivery?". Delivery please. "Sorry but the minimum order is 15$. Your total is 14.65!!!". Really? Ok, then give me the BBQ pork spare ribs. " sorry we are out of them until the morning." Really?? "Yes.". Ok then give me an order of sweet sticky mango. " sorry I no have that. Mango is out of season.". Ok, I've tried two other items. Can you just deliver it? "sorry, minimum order is 15$.". Ok then just give me some white rice. Charge me for it! "Sorry, white rice is free. How about some thai tea?". Ok lady, send me the food. Thank you!! "Credit card or cash..."
(2)Mayraa E.
People are fucking nuts, 3.5 stars? This place should have all 5! I absolutely LOVE Tasty Thai! Where do I begin? My go-to meal will always be the Chicken Cashew Nut! Can never go wrong ordering that! It's always delicious. As far as appetizers, the shyly shrimp is so bomb! Yum! Who knew they could pack so much flavor in that yummy wonton wrapped shrimp! Their eggrolls are so good. I've tried their chicken laab, yummmb. Their Pad-Thai is the BEST! Seriously, the BEST pad-thai in the area. Love their satay! Yummo with peanut sauce.... So people have complained about the service, but you know what, the people are extremely sweet, yes, sometimes it may take a while to get your order in or to get your food, but you can always expect good quality food here. For a local spot, they're doing a hell of a job! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK TT!
(5)Hannah K.
This is my neighborhood Thai restaurant so I've been coming here for years. I like their panang curry with beef. The pad Thai noodles are good too, but it doesn't come with cilantro, which I find strange. You have to ask for it. Other than that everything here is great. It's a small hole in the wall. Food doesn't come out super fast, but that means it's fresh. The servers are always very polite and greet you with a smile. Sometimes when it's slow one of the owners sits around and plays his guitar!
(4)Liz L.
Best Thai food!!! Flavors are always delicious and consistent. Beef Massaman is the BEST!!!!!!!
(5)Mickiela M.
Ordered Pad Z-Ew was really unique! Been to a few Thai places before, for area it was pretty good..service was really good..quaint family owned spot ;)
(5)Tadeo C.
Excellent place! Awesome food and great customer service! The Chicken with pineapple and rice (Honestly, I don't remember the name) is extremely delicious. Thai Iced Tea! It's so, but really, so good. This is a great option, great prices by the way.
(5)Jessie S.
Good authentic thai food. Service was.,..meh..
(3)Lisa M.
I Love THAI FOOD! I wish this place would open back up! I really miss their food! I've had to go and find other thai places in the valley and there just isn't anything quite the same. Their Pad Thai Noodles are delicious. When mangos are in season, the mango sticky rice is a MUST! Staff is wonderful and very kid friendly.

ok, so yes, i'm yelping in anger, and i always do my best to not react when thwarted (other than being a certain inappropriate b-word to my mister when i am in a fit of pique), but i'm in a state! i call at 4:20 friday evening and place an order for chinese broccoli, spicy mint noodles with vegetables, egg rolls and spicy beef curry. i'm told the broccoli will be comped because they only gave me a partial order the last time i called, and they want to make up for it. 45 minutes, they say. well, cut to 11/2 hours later, and we're trying to not devour bags of nuts, etc. the guy shows up; i give him an extra big tip to show my appreciation for the comped broccoli. and then, i open the bag to find NO BROCCOLI, which was really the basic impetus for my order in the first place, since i've had a super grueling week at work (anyone else need to get 6 pieces of insurance documentation from a dj in order to pacify the chief financial officer and so proceed with plans for the school dance less than a week away?). i run out in the street in my little cindy loo hoo pjs and socks and halt the delivery guy, who then explains, oh, the cook put the chinese broccoli in the spicy noodle, but you weren't charged anyway, so it doesn't matter. but i tipped way over because of this broccoli, and we ALWAYS order this, and they are familiar with us. no. NOT OKAY. so where am i now with this? sulking and petulant and temper tantrumy, typing furiously with sticky, disappointed fingers, while the mister, in a noble attempt to save the day, has gone to the closer thai place to pick up an order of chinese broccoli for me.
(2)Brendan H.
The golden wings here are divine and the green curry is a must. The atmosphere is a little... divey, but this is a very small family-run restaurant and the decor is totally forgivable once your food arrives and you start chowing. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I've ordered. There's a minimum charge for using plastic, so make sure to either bring cash or bring friends. Because it's a small operation, delivery from here can be a bit sketchy. Sometimes they have a person who can do it, sometimes they don't. And if you go here during lunch, be prepared to wait a little. As I said, it's a SMALL restaurant so you have to be realistic about eating in a popular, cozy place during their peak dining times.
(4)Larry C.
I used to love this place until yesterday. I got a tai tea boba and while i was drinking i felt a stick type thing in my mouth. I thought it was part of the root that they use to make it. But then i took it out and it was a "tijeria". I dont know how you say it in english but it is a stick like bug with scissors as a tale. I freaked out and i wanted to throw up. :( never ever again will i go there! =/
(1)Frankie P.
I can't believe they have been open 14 years! They act like they don't know what they are doing! Hurried and rushed. Staff doesn't connect. The beef massaman curry SUCKED! Too greasy, there was more fat than beef. And some of the beef was hard did you and gristle. The salad have hardly any peanut sauce on it. The decor was nice. The staff was rude, rushed and pushy! I will not be back.
(1)Heather H.
It was like eating at my mom's house, if she were Thai... which she's not, but work with me here. The owner is super nice and helpful. Came out to chat and make sure everything was good. My friend had the Pad-Z-Ew, I stole a couple bites and it was good, not greasy at all. I had the Ginger Chicken Lunch Special and special it was. Very good sauce, uber flavorful. The egg roll was a little greasy, but nothing a napkin can't take care of. Inside was a delicious mix of veggies. Yum! Side note: the water tastes a little funky, and that's coming from a well-water drinking, Midwestern girl. Reminded me of cucumber, lime, and how Thai food smells. Odd for water, I blame the ice. During the freezing process, the water molecules can pick up flavor molecules (in the form of smells/gas) which would change the flavor of the ice.
(5)Kerina J.
Let me start off by saying that I am sad to give this place two stars, since the food is pretty delicious. The service, however, needs A LOT of improvement. I had to call over the waitress myself in order to continue the meal (i.e. get drink order, get food order, get refill on water, get bill). Then, I also went up to register to give her my payment (after waiting 5 minutes for the waitress to pick it up). A person can only have so much patience. Also, groups of two or more, be wary of eating here. They don't serve the meals together. This was the case with the group that was here before us and the two groups that came here after. My grandma's meal was served about 7 minutes before mine. I ordered the vegetable curry with tofu lunch special. It was flavorful and good. Unfortunately, the food is not good enough to justify the lack in service. If you do want to eat here, I would recommend doing what I saw one customer do. Order food before had and take it to go. That way, you totally bypass the service and get to enjoy delicious Thai cuisine. ALSO, you can only use debit/credit for orders $10 and above. They are pretty firm on this.
(2)Adina C.
Tiny place - doesn't look like much from the outside, but never judge a book by its cover! The food is delicious!!! Can't get enough. Had several shrimp dishes, and have never been disappointed. The yellow curry is amazing, and the first time I've had it - what a surprise to find pineapple in there! It works well, it's delish and you can tell them how spicy (or not) you want it! The best part is that it's not greasy like Thai food normally is. We've been there several times with different people, so got to see several different dishes. Not one that was greasy! Thai food is back on my list - at least from this place :)
(5)Vicky R.
Great lunch specials. Yummy food. Busy during lunch but they still offer quick service. If you order an entree remember to order your rice as it doesn't come with it. If you get a lunch special it comes with your choice of the wonton soup or the salad with the peanut dressing. Love that dressing.
(4)James Y.
Food's good. The BBQ chicken lunch special is a great deal. Anyway, on to what I'm really here to talk about: Friday lunch. On Fridays, one of the cooks plays electric guitar accompanied by some pre-recorded music from a laptop. (I know he's one of the cooks because once, whilst heading towards the bathroom, I saw him walk in with the guitar. When I walked out, I saw him working in the kitchen.) He never sings, although I suspect if he did, it would be a nice baritone. It's hard to resist not looking at him while he's playing, and once in a while he'll catch me and crack (what I'd like to think is) a smile. There's usually only about 10 people sitting in the joint at any given time, so I really appreciate that there's some form of live music at lunch during the workweek. Thank you, mystery chef-guitarist. I definitely give this place an extra star for that guy alone.
(5)Jim S.
Hopefully this review will push Tasty Thai up to 4.5 stars overall! This is our go-to neighborhood Thai joint and the de facto choice for dinner after a long day at work. The wife and I split the steak salad, spicy noodles, panang curry, and rainbow fried rice (with enough leftovers for lunch the next day). The prices are great and the sevice is super friendly. Ignore the somewhat sketchy location and go - now!
(5)Wayne H.
Been here many times. Love the food. Highly recommend. but come to think of it I have never had Thai food I did not like ;)
(4)Sho P.
My brother and I went out to dinner here tonight and saw something amazing. A homeless man came in asking for food. At first the waitress sad she couldn't because she wasn't the owner. After he left the waitress and the cook talked and decided they would call the man back and give him what they had. My brother and I were shocked and it was really beautiful to see. They had great food, great prices and big hearts. Full endorsement!
(5)Oscar L.
Well this we came to this place while visiting a friend near this restaurant. She ordered take out. She ordered the Pad-Z-Ew (Stir fried fresh noodles, egg, with broccoli and a choice of meat) she choose beef and she also ordered Orange chicken which come with a side of white rice. I always like to try Thai iced tea from every Thai restaurant but i have to say that by far this is one of the best Thai iced tea i have had in a while. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for Thai Food in the Valley. We paid 25 and it feed 4 people... P.S. The noodles were greasy but if you don't care about greasy go here...
(4)Anthony W.
Great service and the jungle curry is one of the best ones around
(5)Man M.
Hole in the wall place. People are generally nice but the lady that owns it is annoying. Food is pretty good and they can make it really spicy if you stress it. I go there for a hit of heat from time to time. I would have given it a higher rating if the owner and decor were nicer.
(3)Elizabeth M.
Have been a customer for over five years. Lately, prices have been going up and the service is a bit hit or miss. Too bad, their food is tasty.

Don't order delivery if you're hungry Ordered delivery at 4:30, after the lunch rush, and before the dinner rush, so turn-around time, especially since I live less than 2 miles away, should be pretty quick for delivery. But no, it took over an hour for my order to arrive. Adding insult to injury (besides a delivery charge), the lukewarm food.... Pad thai: noodles cooked to death (stuck together in a cake-like mass, requiring a knife to eat - macaroni pie, anyone?) and lacking flavor; 2 pieces of shrimp and 5 pieces of chicken in the whole order, didn't do much to break up the blandness. Panang Beef: tasted fine, but the beef was way overcooked and chewy Chicken and coconut soup: acceptable, but unbalanced - too much citrus overpowered any other flavor Thai Iced Tea: OK, though you get charged extra for ordering it without ice (considering the wait, if I had ordered it with ice, it would have arrived weak and watery)

So i came here mainly because of the restaurant.com gift certificate because it really did not look that great to me from the outside. The inside isn't that great , its pretty cramped but its clean and the waitress seemed really nice and helpful. I went with one other person and we ended up having to take half of our food home because the proportions are big, which is a GOOD thing and also we had to order $35 worth. The food was maybe a little greasy but it all tasted really good. I recommend the Thai Iced Tea with Boba, it was the bomb. I also like that they closed at 10 pm on Friday.

I've been searching and searching for really good Thai places to go to near home. Most Thai places food were super greasy. So the sweet man my husband is he searched the internet for places with good reviews and came across Tasty Thai Cafe. He said next time lets try this place out. One day after work I had the biggest craving for Thai and I remember what my hubby said and called Tasty Thai Cafe. A very nice older man answered and asked me what I would like I said I have no clue since I had no menu. He said you tell me what you like we make for you. I said hmmm ok I wanted to pick up and order for green curry with pork, pad see ew, beef spareribs, rice and Thai Iced Tea. He said ok 15-20 minutes. I arrived to the Cafe and was surprised. The place is small. Literally a hole in the wall but the staff are soooo nice. The lady that took my payment was the nicest lil ladies ever. I told her it was my first time there. She said thank you so much for trying us and it was so nice meeting you. I waited 5 minutes if that for my order. I took my order home for my husband and myself. Oh boy were we pleasantly surprised, the food was delicious! Definitely a hole in the walls are the best!!!! Great service, great food! My only gripe is I wish the place was bigger I would love to bring my friends there but if it's a busy night we wouldn't all fit. But other than that I would say you must check this place out once.

3.5 stars... and I always round down. Decent place, my coworker took me here. I don't see anything special with the place. I had the Pad See Yoo. My coworkers had the halloween curry and the chicken mint leaves. Not bad, really... but just A-OK. Service was good. You can tell there are a lot of regulars. I'm leaning toward a 4 stars, but I cannot justify it to stack along with my other four stars.

I feel like this a healthy version of Thai food. It's not greasy at all. I like greasy fried rice but their rice is good too. I love the orange chicken and broccoli beef. Good egg rolls and noodles. I've never dined inside, I always order to go. So I cannot give my opinion on their service from beginning to end. They are really nice though. A older man was really kind, while I waited he served me Thai Iced tea while I waited free of charge because it was a super hot day. So I like them, and will keep eating their food.

I will never order from here again! The first time we called to order, they took our number and said theyd call back, and never did. The next time we called, they said they dont deliver. THEN we FINALLY ordered and the delivery driver made us go to their car and pick up the food! THEN we opened our food and my pasee ew was cold and the satay did not come with rice! we paid $22 for a cup of soup, a plate of pasee ew and 5 sticks of beef. A rip off for a hole in the wall and a freakin waste!

Tasty Thai has delicious food at very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful with dish recommendations. The beef panang, beef satay, and tom yum soup with shrimp are delicious! My family also ordered the golden wings dish and from what I heard that is delicious too! They also have brown rice for those who want a healthier carb selection. The parking is kind of small in the back, and there is limited parking on street.

AWSOME. Now that said i have been to thailand and have eaten authentic, homemade food, which was outstanding but tasty thai is just as good, sometimes better. Good place for a cheap date, or hanging with a small group of friends.

Favorite dish: Halloween Curry, family love their House Noodle (chow mein). Recently tried Tom Yum Pia (sour fish soup) and asked them to make it a little less sour for me and it was just so yummy; the soup had ginger, lemon grass, and other spices that just warms you inside out. We've been eating here for at least 10 years or more. There was a change of owner just as we started coming here and what a difference. Wish we can afford to eat out here everyday. There's some parking in the back as well. My husbands favorite is their beef salad. Can't say enough, must give it a try if you have not.

this place is so good. great green curry. huge portion. I'd be more impressed if they wouldn't have charged me a buck for the rice. just hide it in my a la carte price. it would make me feel better. thai ice tea is good too. it's kinda small though. Don't bring more than your immediate family. Parking in the back.
